Role of the Irish State during the Troubles - Amendment 1
Leave out all after ‘troubled past;’ and insert:
‘believes a memorandum of understanding between the Omagh Bombing Inquiry and the Irish Government will be entirely deficient toward providing answers for the victims and their families; calls on the Irish Government to initiate a public inquiry into the Omagh bomb, with powers to compel any person in the Republic of Ireland to provide evidence, information, and material pertinent to a full and unfettered investigation on behalf of victims and survivors; and further calls on the Minister of Justice to practically demonstrate her commitment to challenging the Irish Government’s failure to investigate the role of the Irish state during the Troubles.’
