Text

Tax Justice

That this Assembly expresses its concern about the scale of uncollected and unpaid taxes both nationally and internationally; recognises that our economic and financial system should not be beholden to the demands and wishes of multimillionaires, billionaires or the interests of corporations; notes that, at the same time of historic avarice, we have rising poverty levels; and calls on the Minister of Finance and the Executive to raise, directly with the Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Prime Minister, the urgent need for a one-off wealth tax and a long-term economic strategy, in which the wealthy pay their fair share.
