Backlog in MOT Testing - Amendment 2
Leave out all after ‘Mallusk and Hydebank;’ and insert:
‘commends MOT staff who despite years of underfunding and insufficient resources have conducted 1.15 million MOTs in the last financial year, the most ever carried out in a single year; further notes with concern the 50,000 missed appointments which causes further pressure on the system; and calls on the Minister for Infrastructure to bring forward an ambitious and costed plan to tackle the backlog in tests, cut waiting times, deal with 'no shows' and ensure fairer access for those who are currently disadvantaged as soon as possible.’
