To ask the Minister of Health to detail (i) any safeguards in place to ensure that congenital cataracts are detected through newborn red-reflex screening; (ii) whether compliance with this screening is audited; and (iii) any review that takes place when bilateral congenital cataracts are subsequently diagnosed in an infant after they were not identified at birth.
