Text
To ask the Minister of Justice whether she has any plans to introduce legislation, similar to Sections five and Section six of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022, to ensure that, when police driving incidents are investigated or prosecuted, appropriate weight is given to the specialist training received by police officers and the operational circumstances in which they are required to drive, rather than assessing their actions solely against the standard of a careful and competent driver.
