Text

To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any eligibility criteria used for the recently announced £100 home heating oil grant, including whether (i) non-taxable benefits, such as Disability Living Allowance and Personal Independence Payment, are included in the calculation of household income; and (ii) his Department has considered including such benefits in the assessment of household income to ensure fairness for pensioners and working households who may otherwise be excluded despite having lower overall disposable income.
