Text

To ask the Minister of Education, in light of the rising number of suspensions, the disproportionate representation of pupils in receipt of free school meals, and the concentration of suspensions in non-selective schools, to detail any steps he will take to review current suspension practices to ensure they effectively promote positive behaviour, prevent disengagement, and support his Department’s aim of tackling educational disadvantage.
