Text

To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail (i) any direction she has given to Invest NI on investment decisions on the Peoples Republic of China, in light of the United Nations Human Rights 2022 report on its assessment of human rights concerns in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, and also by the US Department of State in its China 2024 Human Rights Report, which reported genocide and crimes against humanity occurred during the year in China against predominantly Muslim Uyghurs and members of other ethnic and religious minority groups in Xinjiang, both of which have received international credence on genocide; and (ii) her assessment on whether there is any difference in her approach to the Peoples Republic of China and Israel.
