Text

To ask the Minister of Health to detail (i) how the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ perinatal mental health guidelines have informed his assessment of current provision for mothers and babies; (ii) whether he has sought specific advice on the clinical safety of establishing an interim inpatient Mother and Baby facility pending a permanent Unit; and (iii) whether any concerns about interim provision relate to the risk of an interim arrangement becoming permanent, rather than to the clinical safety of a dedicated interim ward.
