Text
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs to detail (i) any assessment that has been made of the impact on the agriculture sector if rewetting of peatland and planting of trees on agricultural land is claimed under Land Use and Land-Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF) sector instead of agriculture under the UK National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory; and (ii) his engagement with the British government to upgrade the UK National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory to ensure agriculture claims the offsetting of emissions via rewetting and tree planting and not by LULUCF.
