Text
I thank the Member for his interest in my relationship with the Criminal Bar Association. I was not aware that it had broken down, but he obviously has different sources from mine. I met the Criminal Bar Association, and we agreed a way forward, which I am now implementing. My officials meet it regularly to keep it updated. As I said, I will meet the Law Society and the Criminal Bar Association, because, of course, it was not only the Criminal Bar Association that was affected by all of that but the wider legal profession, including, in particular, solicitors, through the Law Society. I meet the CBA regularly. I do not believe that the relationship has broken down, but, if the Member has information in that regard, I would be grateful to hear from him.
