Text
It is disappointing that the Minister has not given a commitment to having a bespoke Northern Ireland strategy for fishing. The Northern Ireland fishing fleet needs support, full stop, be that help with crews, help with fuel costs or limiting rather than gold-plating regulation. Anything that can be done should be done to help the fleet. How does the Minister plan to protect the local fishing industry's critical food production from the cumulative pressures of spatial squeeze?
