Text
On that point about car insurance, one case that I dealt with involved the automatic renewal of payments. The person had not realised that the automatic renewal had taken place, and payment was taken. Where people are not just on top of their finances or their accounts, there are practices that providers use, and they should look at ways to work with people. Automatic renewal could result in money coming out of accounts. Any number of things can be bought online: travel insurance, car insurance, house insurance — you name it. If a policy is toggled to automatic renewal, that can be a bit confusing for people who are not across IT equipment and insurance practices. Do you envisage that as something that could be covered?
