Text
I declare an interest as an armed forces veteran, and a proud one at that. I was proud to stand up and serve with Her Majesty's armed forces and would do so again tomorrow. Some of the comments from across the way are, frankly, disgraceful. The Executive have responsibility for this, given that many of the services — not least health — are delivered here. That is what the armed forces covenant is about: removing disadvantage, where it arises, for members of society who serve in the armed forces. In that context, will the First Minister reflect on her comments?
