Text
My officials have continued to engage with residents and representatives, including you, to further develop that community resilience in Antrim. Having been there when the flooding occurred earlier this year, I know how detrimental the impact of that has been. Additional support includes resources being provided locally and access to information on flood-related matters, including insurance. The Department continues to undertake routine inspection and maintenance of designated watercourses and drainage infrastructure to ensure that they continue to function effectively. We continue to work on longer-term schemes to find a viable scheme that will suit that area. I really appreciate the ongoing work with residents and local representatives, including you, and I hope to continue that until we find a long-term solution.
