Text
Since 2024, we have offered apprenticeships in a range of fields, including heritage skills, such as joinery, stonemasonry and blacksmithing; ICT; work psychology; electrical, mechanical and civil engineering; and vehicle and plant fitting. During 2026, more than 200 people were appointed through the operational delivery apprenticeship scheme. In June, the second group of students graduated from the skills academy for civil engineering. That is an Assured Skills partnership between the Department for Infrastructure and Belfast Met, supported by the Civil Service's HR in my Department.
