Text
I thank the Member for giving way. I do not know specifically what contradictions the Member is talking about, but, just to clarify on the line that says, "continued political disagreement" not being "a barrier to necessary reform", we are endeavouring to say that, where political disagreement should end or cease is around a specific set of reforms and targeted interventions in key policy areas. There will, obviously, be political disagreement not just on the constitution but left, right and on a range of things. However, on a finite number of issues, there needs to be consensus and, ergo, an end to political disagreement or, at least, a managing of political disagreement so that you can deliver, for example, healthcare reform.
