Text
In the absence of a Budget, we have not secured a pathway to public-sector pay uplifts. I continue to explore all options and have been engaging with the Executive's legal advisers. Without breaching confidentiality, I can say that there has been substantial discussion around the Executive table on the matter. I believe that it is the ambition of us all to secure public-sector pay uplifts for our teachers, nurses and others. Of course, the ideal solution is that we secure a sustainable and fair Budget, and that is why we continue to engage with the British Government.
