Text
The issue crosses all constituencies and has been raised in the Chamber many times. It is one of the reasons why I wanted to move forward with preparing the groundwork for the legislation, which will be enacted in the next mandate. Councils will play a vital role in the consultation, and I commit to that being the case during my mandate. I cannot give you a more detailed time frame at this stage. Land and property law is complex, and we have had to recruit a specialist team to do this. As I said, the recruitment is now closed, and we will put the team in place in due course. Once I have more information, I will share it with the Member.
