Mr Wilson asked the Minister for Infrastructure, after noting that she is aware of his concerns about arrangements for identifying and acting on convictions of taxi licence holders, including instances in which taxi drivers convicted of serious offences retained their licence for a significant period, and having welcomed her renewed focus on the matter and the work under way between her Department and partner agencies to improve the relevant processes, given the serious public safety implications, when she expects that work to conclude and any improvements to be implemented.
