Text
My constituency colleague Ms Bradshaw has stolen part of my question, but I am happy with that. I, too, would like to ask about the Lagan pedestrian bridge. Minister, you have given an update, but I press for that to happen as soon as possible. Residents there were told that that bridge was delayed because of the A5 judgement. I also want to stand with you and others in saying that this is a good day. It feels strange to call it a good day, because so many people have lost their lives and there was real emotion among those families. They have suffered a lot of pain, and there is almost relief that the road is now going ahead. Colm Gildernew is right when he says that you cannot put a price on saving lives, but the A5 needs to be budgeted for, Minister. What conversations are you having with the Finance Minister and other colleagues to ensure that that is included in a multi-year Budget, which, hopefully, will be agreed soon?
