Text
I thank the Member for his question. The fleadh showed the best of us. It was an inclusive and positive event that attracted hundreds of thousands of people to Belfast. Part of the reason for that was the involvement of people from across all of our communities. That is something to be welcomed and built on. Let us be very clear: what is damaging community relations in Portadown is the desire to force an unwanted sectarian march through a community that does not want it. The Secretary of State needs to intervene and remove the threat of that unwanted march being forced through that community. The issue has been settled for the past 28 years. Why is it being rehashed now? There are clearly political agendas at play.
