Text
To pre-empt your answer, deputy First Minister, I say that I was proud to stand with residents of the Garvaghy Road. Deputy First Minister, you mentioned the victim-centred, trauma-informed approach. The reality is that, for many victims, it is almost the "Troubles permanent disablement re-traumatisation scheme"; they feel that they have been re-traumatised and hurt, because, to a large extent, they are made to speak as if they did something wrong and as if they deserved it. Multiple families were refused the payment because they could not produce the relevant documentation to meet the criteria to prove that they suffered horrendously during the Troubles: what do you say to those families?
