Text
It is really disappointing that I presented a very forensic analysis of a very flawed Bill that does not withstand penetrating scrutiny, with problem after problem, to which the Member could only reply, "Well, that is not the intent, but it was not in law". I gave specific examples of bad law. It is really disrespectful to Members of this House that if you take a view that law is not sound, that it might have noble intent but would make bad law, somehow you are regressive.
I want to put this on the record, and I will do so again, because I do not want to make cheap TikTok videos out of this.
The Ulster Unionist Party stands for everyone's rights in this country.
My party and I have been maligned, but we stand for everyone's rights in this country. I just happen to think that the Bill is dangerous law, badly framed.
