Text
I am grateful that the Member gave way on that point. I have been working with urgency to resolve that as soon as possible. It has proven to be complex, but we are now in a position where we expect the solution imminently. That will mean that we can start acquisitions without further delay, even if there are improvements to any proposal that may follow that. I expect acquisitions to begin immediately, once approval is secured, which should be within the next month. However, those 600 homes were meant to deal with the pressures that we face now, not the additional ones that will come from the increased need for temporary accommodations as a result of the Bill. I am glad that the Member now supports that.
