Text

I thank the Member for giving way. I make the point that he has a right to freedom of religion or belief. He may also be offended by things that he hears in the Chamber. It is unfair for one person to say that what the Member says is offensive but for them not to listen to the other side of the argument. I take Mr Tennyson's point about how everyone is free to speak to their scripture, but does the Member agree that he was conveying his purpose and his religion and that he has every right to do so?

Assessment

Not flagged

Jev’s structured answers met the documented threshold for “not flagged”.

  • Overall probability that the activity is being used to promote, exploit or escalate an identity-based controversy: 0.35 (flagging needs at least 0.70; at or below 0.30 is not flagged).

  • No identity-based framing was identified (0.84).
  • Subject area: Religion and belief (including people of no religion), churches, faith communities and religious prejudice (including antisemitism and anti-Muslim prejudice).
  • The overall probability was low and the text did not adopt any identity-based framing.

This is an AI-generated assessment of the text, made against published criteria. It is not a finding of fact about the MLA or their intentions. The Assembly record itself is the fact.
