Text
The Member has repeatedly made the point about people who put up such things under the cover of darkness. Would the Bill not present an opportunity to the organisations that take such pride in the flying of the flag? I think that the intent of the Bill is to allow for that pride in the flag and that expression. There has been miscommunication, or even a misunderstanding. There are certain organisations out there that display flags very well and respectfully, and there are people who simply do not.
The Bill seeks to make that differentiation and address cases involving the people who do not do it with good intentions.
