Go raibh maith agat, a Leas-Cheann Comhairle.
I start by thanking all Members who contributed to the debate. I appreciate the consideration that has been given to the Committee's proposed amendments to the code and guide. I specifically thank the members of the Committee, the Deputy Chair, officials Shane McAteer and Ashley Mitford and the whole team who supported this detailed piece of work. I thank them for not just this but all the important work that they do on and for the Committee on Standards. The Committee is satisfied that the proposed revised code and guide remain fit for purpose and continue to promote the high standards of conduct that the public are entitled to expect from all Members. I thank the Deputy Chair for clarifying that today's debate is not about the policy but how the updates to the code and the guide relate to the rules of conduct for Members. On behalf of the Committee on Standards, I commend the report and the proposed revised code and guide to the House. I ask Members to support the motion.
