Text
As I said, I have engaged widely, working alongside the Woodland Trust. I have met contacts across the UK. I spoke in London about the merits of the Bill. It was warmly received by everybody around the room. There is expertise in the UK. There is certainly expertise in Northern Ireland through the Woodland Trust. As I mentioned, it is more than happy to help planners who suddenly have to operate as de facto tree officers. It is keen to upskill them. There is plenty of expertise. The skill sets that are required to ensure that we can do this are there. The Woodland Trust is readily available to work alongside councils.
