Text
As I have family who live in Derrybeg, I was very aware of the situation when it happened. My colleague, Councillor Aidan Mathers, had reported it to NI Water, which is responsible for waste water and sewage, as the Member will know. NI Water responded that evening and cleared the blockage. To my knowledge, the issue has now been resolved. It was a disgraceful issue, and it was horrendous for anyone who was affected. We were glad that, once it was made aware of the issue, NI Water was on-site that Monday night and resolved the issue.
