Text

Thank you, Mr Deputy Speaker. I was certainly not challenging you; I was challenging the Justice Minister's non-answer. We already know that there was a lack of communication between the Department's legal team and the Prison Service. It seems that the standard operating procedures had failed in this case, meaning that the Prison Service could not review the decision at the court's request. What lessons have been learned to date when it comes to the review? How did that breakdown in communication occur?
