Text
The Member is absolutely right to raise that issue. Many in our communities have been helped by the funding that was previously in place. There are many others who want to work but face barriers to work that must be broken down. We believe that we can get an extra 50,000 disabled people into work. As I always say, we can only do what we can with what we have and where we are. I am, however, committed to playing my part in making sure that that support is in place, and I know that others in the Executive will play their part, because it would be a travesty if we were to continue as we are now.
