Text
Mr Durkan asked the Minister for Communities, having met artists and representatives from across the arts sector today, many of whom are in the Public Gallery, and noting that over 1,000 individuals and arts organisations have signed a letter of no confidence in the Minister in light of his failure to bring forward an arts policy or sustainable funding for the sector, given that we have heard the promise before of a policy coming soon, which is like 'Waiting for Godot', only we are waiting for Gordon, whether any forthcoming policy will include the required funding to put the arts on a firm and fair footing.
