Text

I thank the Member for giving way. He is right, because the Bill is all about empowering the Department for Infrastructure. What goes up and what comes down, and how it is taken down, will be subject to the opinion of the Department. Mr O'Toole said that there was a contradiction, but there is not, because, under terrorism legislation, it is for the police to take down paramilitary flags. The problem that I have been pointing to is that there has been a failure to enforce said legislation when it matters.
