Text
The public consultation on the draft Northern Ireland artificial intelligence (AI) strategy was launched on 12 August 2026 and will remain open until 7 October 2026. The consultation provides an opportunity for citizens, businesses, academia, public-sector organisations and the voluntary and community sector to help shape the final strategy. The draft strategy sets out a framework for the responsible, ethical and fair adoption of artificial intelligence across the public sector. It aims to support the delivery of better public services while maintaining public trust and confidence in the use of AI. We encourage all those with an interest in the future development and use of artificial intelligence in Northern Ireland to participate in the consultation. The responses received will be carefully considered and will inform the final strategy before it is brought to the Executive for consideration.
