Text
I am very grateful for the work of all stakeholders as part of the task and finish group associated with the nutrients action programme. Over the past number of months, they have been committed to finding a way forward that is workable at a farm level and contains practical measures that meet our legal obligations within realistic time frames. A significant amount of work has been undertaken in that regard. Hopefully, that work will come to a conclusion soon and the report will be published, after which we will undertake a further consultation on the measures. It is important that we allow space for that work to be completed, after which we will have that consultation, so that people can give their views. I have the utmost respect for all those who took part in that process, including the group's independent facilitator, Karen Brosnan.
