Text
The impact is significant. My Department is actively seeking to improve its planning performance rates. Reapplications and re-consultations increase the planning caseload and put pressure on performance, however. It is therefore vital that reapplications and re-consultations include the environmental data and information that is required up front in order to avoid the need to go back and forth for information. That is a key issue for me. It is important that it be addressed by those making the applications in the first place and then by councils, which have to contact the Northern Ireland Environment Agency.
