Text
I thank the Member for giving way. Does he not think that it is interesting that the Sinn Féin Member avoided the central premise of the question that he has posed: the fact being that there is a criminal sanction in the Republic of Ireland, but a referral to the body in Northern Ireland, which, in theory, is an offence of lesser status? Does he not find the fact that Mr Sheehan missed that point entirely telling of the fact that Sinn Féin just wants to wreck the Bill rather than to get to the fundamental point of the safeguarding and protection of children?
