I thank the Minister for her answer. Given that there are financial restrictions on many of the people who own the properties and that many of the properties will cost tens — maybe hundreds — of thousands of pounds to bring back, what I am trying to get from you, Minister, is whether you have plans to bring forward a…
Mr Clarke asked the Minister of Finance whether she has any plans to bring derelict buildings and properties back into good use, given that she will be aware that many of our towns and villages are suffering due to derelict buildings, which affect neighbouring businesses.
Given those procurement regulations, will the Minister undertake to examine other ways in which schools could find themselves in a more favourable position that allows them greater flexibility to save money?
Mr Speaker, you will be surprised to hear that I am not interested in West Tyrone. I am more interested in how the Minister plans to prioritise all the capital projects in his portfolio.
Mr Clarke asked the Minister of Education whether he accepts that there are occasions on which many schools could more easily and cost-effectively procure goods and services than they can through the EA process, given that he will be aware of the financial constraints in which many schools find themselves.
I thank the Member for the question. I am not aware of any specific time that the Commission has written to Members who have had children, but I am sure that Commission members are listening today, taking that on board and will follow up on it.
As you will have gathered from my previous response, Commission members previously considered all those points, and they see merit in what has been put forward today. All those things will be considered going forward.
I thank the Members for their questions. The Assembly Commission has had a number of discussions on the matter. It is important to make Members aware that the Assembly Commission's remit relates solely to the provision of allowances to enable Members to exercise their functions as Members. The Assembly Commission has…
On the first point, as I have already said, the Commission is meeting today to discuss how to advance that. The date of its commencement will be decided by the Commission, and no decision has been taken on that yet.
I thank the Member for his question. The Financial Assistance for Political Parties Act (Northern Ireland) 2000 provides the mechanism for the Assembly to agree funding to be made available to political parties for the purpose of: "assisting members of the Assembly who are connected with such parties to perform their…
Ramming of Police Vehicles in South Armagh That this Assembly condemns those who resort to ramming police vehicles in an attempt to evade criminal enforcement action, including arrest; believes it is reprehensible that seventy-seven PSNI officers were injured as a result of their vehicles being deliberately rammed in…
Committee Membership (Revised Wording) That Mr William Irwin replace Mr Gary Middleton as a member of the Committee on Procedures; and that Mr Brian Kingston replace Mr Stephen Dunne as a member of the Committee on Standards and Privileges.
Applicability Motion - Regulation (EU) 2023/2411 That Regulation (EU) 2023/2411 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 October 2023 on the protection of geographical indications for craft and industrial products and amending Regulations (EU) 2017/1001 and (EU) 2019/1753 should be added to the Windsor…
In response to Mr McGrath, you said that you are not the Minister for policing, which you are not, but it is, of course, a tripartite arrangement. On Linda Dillon's question about injury-on-duty, we have come across that many times — sorry, I should have declared an interest as a member of the Policing Board — whereby…
I am sure that the Chief Constable will welcome your support on that. However, the officers who have waited a long time for their pay rise are now hearing that the budget is not recurrent. What continuing conversations will you have with the Chief Constable and the Policing Board to give them the assurance that the…

To ask the Minister for Communities to provide details of funding provided by the Arts Council NI to groups, broken down by their community background.
